TANGAIL: Two men were electrocuted at Sonalia village in Basail upazila of the district on Friday afternoon (April 28).

The deceased were identified as Hazrat Ali, 70 and Altu Mia, 50, both hailed from Sonalia village.

Locals said deceased Hazrat Ali got tangled with electrical wire as he went outside to pickup vegetables from his land. Nearby Altu Mia also electrocuted while trying to help Ali. 

They were rushed to upazila health complex where on-duty physician declared both of them dead on arrival.
