DHAKA: The government will provide relief among 3 lakh and 30 thousand families in haor areas who were adversely affected by the flash flood.

According to the government’s announcement, each family will get 30 kgs of rice and Tk. 500 per month. The relief scheme will begin from April 23 (Sunday).
     
Disaster management and relief minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya said this at Bangladesh Secretariat on Sunday (April 23).

He said that the affected people will get the relief until the crop season end.   

Besides, one lakh and 71 thousand families will be provided food assistance through OMS (open market sales), said the minister.
