GAIBANDHA: One Muslem Uddin Prodhan, 51, was killed in an alleged hit with stick by his cousin in Gaibandha district.

The incident took place at Raity Norail village under Betkapa union at Palashbari upazila in the district at about 8:00 am on Sunday (April 23).    

Locals said that Muslem Uddin had dispute with his cousin Jubed Ali for long over tube-well water and smokescreen of oven.  

As a sequel, they engaged in a quarrel in the morning. At one stage, Jubed Ali and his son Anarul Haque attacked Muslem Uddin by stick, leaving him severe injured.  

Muslem Uddin succumbed to injury on his way of hospital.   

Senior assistant superintendent of police (ASP) of Gaibandha Rezinur Rahman said the body was sent to the Gaibandha Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
