BAGERHAT: A youth was killed in lightning at Kachua upazila in Bagerhat on Saturday morning (April 22).

The deceased was identified as Shahidul Islam, 28, son of Yeakub Ali of Solarkola village under Kachua upazila.  

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Kachua police station Kabirul Islam told Banglanews that Shahidul left his home for Saibord Bazar in the morning during rainfall. He was killed lightning on the way.

Locals recovered Shahidul and sent to a local hospital where the on duty physicians declared him dead.
