Two madrasa students go missing in Sherpur

SHERPUR: Two madrasa students, who are maternal uncle and nephew in relation, at Nalitabari upazila in Sherpur went missing on Monday morning (March 27).

Their father and grandfather Abdul Jalil confirmed the matter to the Banglanews on Tuesday (March 28).

The missing students are-- Al Mahmud Ridoy, 12, son of Abdul Jalil of Manikkura village under Kakarkandi union of Nalitabari upazila, and Rifat Hasan, son of Alamgir Hossain.

Ridoy is maternal uncle of Rifat. They are students of class three and one respectively of Daksin Bishgiripara Keratul Quran Madrasa.

Abdul Jalil said that Ridoy and Rifat left residence for the madrasa on Monday morning. Since, they have been missing.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Nalitabari police station AKM Fasihur Rahman told Banglanews that the family of the two children informed the matter to the police on Tuesday noon.
