DHAKA: A team of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Department (CIID) has seized 60 gold bars, weighing around 7kgs, from a flight of Thai Airways at Shahjalal International Airport in the Dhaka on Sunday (March 26).
The team seized the gold bars from under a sit cover in the economy class of TG-321 flight around 3:15pm. The gold bars, worth of TK 3.45 crore, weighs around 6.990kgs.
Confirming the matter to Banglanewes, CIID director general Dr. Moinul Khan said on information, the preventive team raided the flight that came from Bangkok.
No one was arrested in this connection as nobody was sitting on the sit from where the gold was seizied, he said.
