BARISAL: A young woman died in hospital on Wednesday (March 22) midnight as her scarf got entangled with wheels of a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Babuganj upazila in Barisal.

The deceased was identified as Zannat, 21, daughter of Ayub Ali Khan of Babuganj upazila sadar.

The incident took place in evening near Babuganj Bazar. Zannat was returning home from her uncle’s home by a CNG-run auto-rickshaw. When she reached near her home, the scarf got entangled with the wheels of the auto-rickshaw, leaving her injured severely, said the uncle Abu Taleb.

She was taken to the Sher-e-Bangla Medical College (SBMC) in Barisal. She succumbed to injuries in the SBMC in midnight.
