DHAKA: Six Japanese citizens, who were killed by gunmen at Gulshan Artisan Bakery, were in Dhaka for Metrorail project work.
Road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader made the disclosure to journalists during his inspection at Sayedabad Bus Terminal in the city on Sunday (July 3).
He said that slain Japanese were working as surveyors in Metrorail project of Bangladesh government.
Gulshan attack is a part of worldwide terrorism and Japanese government is acknowledged with it, he further said.
JICA delegation has arrived Dhaka Sunday. Government officials will discuss with them, Quader added.
