COMILLA: A Comilla court has awarded death sentence to a man for killing a female madrasha student at Daudkandi upazila in the district in 2012.

Judge of Comilla Judge Court-3 M Ali Ahmed delivered the verdict on Tuesday (July 04).

The court, however, acquitted six other accused in the murder case.

The death-row convict is Saddam Hossain. He was the prime accused in the murder case.

Farzana, a student of Class Nine of Daudkandi Madrasha, was killed after throwing acid in 2012.
