DU pro-VCs, treasurer take over office

DHAKA: Two new Pro-Vice Chancellors of Dhaka University Professor Shahid Akter Hossain and Professor Nasrin Ahmed took over their charges on Saturday noon.

Besides, Dr Kamal Uddin also took over as treasurer of the varsity.

Former pro-VC of DU Dr. Harun-or-Rashid handed over charge formally to the two pro-VCs at his office at 12:30pm.

On the other hand, former treasurer Dr Mizanur Rahman handed over charge formally to Kamal Uddin, professor of International Business Department, at his office.

On June 6, President M Zillur Rahman, also Chancellor of the university, appointed them as Pro-Vice Chancellor of the university.

On June 5, pro-VC Prof Dr Harun-or-Rashid and Treasurer Professor Mizanur Rahman resigned from their posts.
