Teacher electrocuted in Sirajganj

SIRAJGANJ: A school teacher was electrocuted in Belkuchi Upazila of the district while he was thrashing paddy on Saturday night.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Bari, 50, teacher of Dhukuria Registered Non-governmental Primary School and resident of Saatlathi village of the upazila.

Family sources said that he was electrocuted when he was entangled with a detached electric wire abruptly during thrashing paddy at home premises on Saturday night.

Sub-inspector of Belkuchi Thana Kamrul Islam confirmed the matter.
