4 killed in Moheshkhali landslide

MOHESHKHALI, COX’S BAZAR: At least four people, including a minor, were killed as their houses collapsed due to landslide triggered by incessant rainfall in Moheshkhali of the district Monday.

The deceased were identified as Fakira Akhter, 35, Saddam Hossain, 25, Rafi Moni Singh, 3 and A Mazid, 34.

Witnesses said three people were killed in the landslide in Uttar Jhapua area and another killed in Shaplapur JN Ghat area in the afternoon.
