DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said no bar to hold dialogue, but it should be arranged as per the basic structure of our national constitution.
Meanwhile, the premier has shown her interest in holding all party dialogue in order to ensure oppositions’ participation in the upcoming national elections.
She came up with remarks while addressing a meeting of Awami League executive committee on Friday night.
Emerging from the meeting, AL general secretary Syed Ashraful Islam said, “We will hold talks and hopefully all political parties will participate in the polls. The elections will be acceptable and people will elect their party.”
Regarding the ultimatum of opposition BNP, he said, “It is a political issue and we have experienced such ultimatums earlier.”
“Staging demonstration is their political rights. But, people will not accept the killings in name of hartal,” he added.
