Bike rider killed in Munshiganj road crash

DHAKA: A motorbike rider was killed when a truck ran over him in Sipahipara area on Sipahipara-Mukterpur road on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Sayham, 18, son of Asad Talukder of Khanka Dalalpara village in Sadar Upazila.

Hatimara police outpost SI Aminul Islam told banglanews, “Sayham was crashed under the wheel of a truck after fell down from a motorbike at about 9 pm while the bike overtaking the truck, leaving him dead on the spot.”

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Munshiganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Police seized the truck but its driver managed to flee the scene.

A case was filed in this connection.
