Ashulia labour unrest

10 BNP men sued

SAVAR (DHAKA): Some 10 local leaders and activists of BNP were sued in Ashulia on Friday night for their alleged involvement in instigation a labour unrest over pay hike.

Ashulia Thana SI Billal Hossain filed the case accusing ten people.

The accused are Ashulia’s Yearpur UP chairman and union BNP president Dewan Moeen Uddin Biplob, 40, Md Kamal Uddin Chowdhury, 55, Md Sharif Chowdhury, 30, Anwar Hossain Mridha, 33, Safi, 32, Elias Shahi Mukhlesh Maku, 35, Abdul Malek Member, 45, Salam, 47, Zillur Rahman Tarik Dewan, 38 and Anwar, 35.

Ashulia Thana OC Sheikh Badrul Alam told banglanews, police filed the case over the incidents of vandalism, arson, loot, creation of anarchy and disruption of people’s normal life in the area.
