NBR honours 34 business orgs

DHAKA: National Board of Revenue (NBR) Tuesday awarded 34 business organizations for their contribution in paying the maximum Value Added Tax (VAT) to the government exchequer.

Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith handed over the crests to 9 national and 27 Dhaka district business organizations in recognition to highest VAT paying organizations at city’s Bangabandhu International Conference Centre.

With NBR member Jahan Ara Siddiqui in the chair, the programme was attended, among others, by Prime Minister`s Economic Adviser Dr. Masiur Rahman, FBCCI president AK Azad.
