16 Tahrir activists held in Kishoreganj

KISHOREGANJ: Police arrested sixteen alleged members of banned militant outfit Hizb-ut-Tahrir, Bangladesh from Kotiadi upazila headquarter in the district on early Friday.

The Assistant Police Super of Kishoreganj ABM Masud Hossain said acting on secret information, a police team arrested the 16 members of the militant group, including four women, at about 4:00am.

The arrestees are: Raihan Farid Mia, Atikur Rahman, Jasim Uddin, Salim, Asma Khatun, Abdus Salam, his wife Fatema Aktar, Shilpi Aktar, Golap Laskar of Katiadi Upazila,  Abdus Sattar, Sabina, Hanif Khandaker of Karim Upazila, Abdur Rouf Abir, Rakib Ahmed Masud of Hossainpur Upazila and Dulal Hossain of Kushtia.
