Woman killed in Ctg. train crash

CHITTAGONG : A housewife was killed as a train knocked her down in TTI-1 Rail gate area under Pahartali Thana in the district on early Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Kalpana Akhter, wife of Saiful Islam, of Pahartali Biswa Colony area.

Quoting family members, Chittagong Medical College Hospital police camp source said, “A train knocked Kalpana down in TTI-1 Rail gate area, leaving her critically injured.”

Later, she was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared her dead around 12:30am.
