Anwer chairman, Harun, Sakib vice chairmen of SIBL

DHAKA: Anwer Hossain Khan has been unanimously re-elected as Chairman while Harun Miah and Khandoker Sakib Ahmed as the Vice Chairmen of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SIBL).

The development came in the 154th meeting of the SIBL Board of Directors.

Anwer Hossain Khan was born in a noble Muslim family at Purbabigha under Ramganj upazila in Laxmipur district. He obtained Masters Degree with Honours from Dhaka University.

He is the Chairman and Managing Director of Anwer Khan Modern Medical College, Modern Diagnostic Centre Ltd., Anwer Khan Modern Hospital and Haji Sakawat Anwara Modern Eye Hospital.

He is also Founder Director of Fareast Stock and Bond Ltd. and Shahjalal Islami Bank Securities Ltd. Mr. Khan is also involved with many social welfare and charitable organizations.

Vice Chairman, Md. Harun Miah is a renowned businessman based in UK. He was born in a respectable Muslim family of Chondorpur under Golapgonj upazilla in Sylhet District in 1961.

He is the Managing Director of Kushiara Financial Services Ltd., Kushiara Travels Ltd. and Homelink Remit Ltd. He is also Directors of Kushiara Properties, Kushiara Cash & Carry, Shahjalal Islami Bank Securities Ltd., Bangla Frozen Food Ltd. and Quality Sea Food Ltd. He is the Proprietor of Hotel Holiday Planet and Hotel Pritom Inn.  

The other re-elected Vice Chairman Khandoker Sakib Ahmed was born in the year of 1974 in a respectable Muslim family and started business after completion of his MBA Degree.
