Elephants crush one in Bandarban

BANDARBAN: A flock of wild elephants trampled a guard to death and wound his coworker in Baishari area under Naikhongchhari Upazila of the district on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Saber Ahmmad, 56, resident of Bakkhali Village of the upazila while the injured are Shahidul Islam, 20.

The injured was admitted into a local hospital.

Baishari Union Parishad chairman Manirul Haque told banglanews, a flock of wild elephants attacked them at Chhagal Khaiya Rubber Plant in the area, leaving Saber dead and Shahidul injured.
