DHAKA: As part of the ongoing bilateral defense cooperation, a delegation consisting of 20 senior officials from the three services, including 10 foreign officers from the National Defense College (NDC), Mirpur are proceeding on a study-tour to India from September 15 Sep to 20.
High Commission of India, Dhaka sources told the delegation is being led by Brigadier General Latiful Haider, ndc, psc, Senior Instructor, NDC. The five-day visit to India involves visit to an Air Force Base in Agra and a field formation in Jaipur.
During their stay in Delhi, the delegation will have the opportunity to be briefed on various operational issues by senior staff officers of the three services. Foreign Secretary of India will also interact with the delegation.
Briefings have also been organized with India’s premier Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) to give the members an insight into various developmental ventures being undertaken.
The delegation members will also be able to interact with the Indian officers undergoing NDC course at New Delhi to enable them to exchange their experiences.
A visit to the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has been incorporated so that the delegation gets to understand the opportunities and challenges, being faced by the Indian business industry and their contribution towards the armed forces.
