DHAKA: Opposition BNP standing committee member Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain said if the government fails to keep the price of essentials within limit, they would not escape.
The BNP leader came up with the forewarning while addressing a symbolic hunger strike programme held at the National Press Club on Saturday morning.
Bangladesh Labour Party organized the symbolic hunger strike programme.
He also alleged that the syndicate is responsible for price hiking but the government failed to take action against them.
He criticized the rise of electricity price as well.
The senior BNP leader suggested that good management can supply uninterrupted electricity without increasing its price.
With Labour Party Chairman Dr Mostafizur Rahman Iran in the chair, the programme of was also addressed, among others, by secretary general Hamdullah Al Mehedi, vice-president Jahangir Alam Pradhan and joint secretary Aminul Islam Babu.
