DU Pro-VC, Treasurer resign

DHAKA: Pro-Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University Professor Harun-or-Rashid and Treasurer Professor Mizanur Rahman resigned Tuesday.

They tendered their resignation letters to Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid in the afternoon.

Senor information officer of the education ministry Subodh Chandra Chowdhury confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Regarding the matter, Professor Harun-or-Rashind told banglanews, “I have resigned on personal ground. I want to concentrate to education and research.”

He said, “The resignation letter has been submitted to President M Zillur Rahman, also Chancellor of the university.”
