DHAKA: The government Wednesday appointed Mahbub Uz Zaman as the new High Commissioner of Bangladesh to the Republic of Singapore.
He has currently serving as Bangladesh High Commissioner in Sri Lanka.
Mahbub joined in Bangladesh Civil Service in Foreign Affairs Cadre in 1985, said a foreign ministry release.
Earlier, he served in Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi and Ottawa, Bangladesh Embassy in Tokyo, Bangladesh Permanent Mission to UN in Geneva and New York.
Mahbub obtained his MSS degree in Economics from Dhaka University.
He also took a Diploma in French Language & International Relations from the Institute Pro Linguis and AGCD, Brussels.
