3 minors drown in Gaibanda

GAIBANDA: Three minors, including two siblings, were drowned in a pond at Kumedpur village under Polashbari upazila of the district Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Kona Akhter, 8, and her brother Mesbah, 7, offspring of Abdul Kahhar and their cousin Ahsan Habib, 8.  

Deceased family sources said Ahsan Habib was drowned in the pond while they were playing beside their house. Kona and Mesbah also got drowned when they went to rescue him.

They died on way to Gaibanda Sadar Hospital, sources added.
