Stocks witnessing gain

DHAKA: Trading on the country’s premier bourse is underway showing positive in share-price indices on Monday.

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) general index rose over 79 points to stand at 4,119 at 12:20 pm.

Trade deals stood at 37650 with transaction at Tk 1113 million.

Of the issues traded, 206 advanced, 25 declined and 13 remained unchanged.

RNSPIN topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 124 million having changed hands during the time.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 7929 by gaining over 143 points at 12:21 pm.

Out of the issues traded, 128 gained, 13 declined and 17 remained unchanged.
