Defense witnesses to be investigated: Amu

DHAKA: Ruling Awami League advisory council member Amir Hossain Amu Saturday categorically said the witnesses of the war criminals should be investigated as they are also Rajakar and Al Badrs.

The senior leader of the party came up with the observation while addressing a discussion meeting arranged by JSD held at the National Press Club

He said, “It is possible to complete the war crimes trial if we remain united like during the liberation war in 1971.”

Amu added: “Ziaur Rahman had formed BNP through communalism and Khaleda Zia made the people ministers who were against the liberation war.”

With Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) President Hasanul Haque Inu MP in the chair, the discussion was addressed, among others, by Barrister Amirul Islam, JSD executive member Moin Uddin Khan Badal and presidium member Shirin Akhter.
