Blast kills “bomb maker” in Jessore

JESSORE: A person was killed and another one injured while making high intensity bombs in Ulashi Bazar area under Sharsha upazila of the district on Sunday night.

The deceased was identified as Mamun, son of Abul Hossain alias Babu of Roypara area.

Injured Babu was rushed to Jessore Medical College Hospital (JMCH).

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Officer-in-Charge of Jhikargachha Thana Humayun Kabir said, “On information, police rushed to the spot where some people were making bomb and had a badly explosion.”

Police did not find body there but on Monday morning they found it on the bank of Betraboti River, he added.

The body was sent to JMCH morgue for autopsy, the OC said.
