Army man killed in Tangail road crash

TANGAIL: An army man was killed and another injured in head-on-collision between a tractor and a motor bike in Rabna bypass area of the town on Friday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Shamim Chowdhury, 36, son of Abdul Hamid Chowdhury, hailed from Kurua village under Kalihati Upazila of the district.

The injured is Zakir Hossain, son of Ameer Hossain of the upazila.

The accident took place as a tractor collied the bike at 5:00pm while they were returning home, leaving them injured critically.

Later, they were rushed to Tangail General Hospital where doctors declared Shamim dead.

Moreover, Zakir was shifted to the city’s Squre Hospital as his condition deteriorated.
