DHAKA: Country’s stock market marked fall again in its price indices on Sunday.
The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) general index shed over 18 points minus to stand at 4,272 at the close on the first trading day of the week.
The volume of transactions, however, increased to Tk 1,157 million from Thursday’s Tk 864 million. Trade deals stood at 47,099 against the previous day’s 31, 988.
Of the issues traded, 81 advanced, 152 declined and 31 remained unchanged.
BSCCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 76 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were UNIQUEHRL, GP, MPETROLEUM, NBL, SIBL, KEYACOSMET, LAFSURCEML, LANKABAFIN and BEXIMCO.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8,221 by dropping over 56 points.
Out of the issues traded, 40 gained, 116 declined and 18 remained unchanged.
