3 killed in Sunamganj road crash

SUNAMGANJ: Three people were killed as a private car plunged into a roadside ditch in Iqbal Nagar area under Sadar upazila on Sylhet-Sunamganj highway on Monday noon.

The deceased were identified as Aziz, 35, driver of the private car and hailed from Tegharia area, Rahela Begum, 60, wife of Bashir Mia of Hazipara and her nephew Sohagh, 25, son of Salik Uddin of Natunpara area of the district.

Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Thana Abdul Awal told banglanews that a Sylhet-bound private car plunged into a roadside ditch while the driver trying to save a child in the area at 1:15pm, leaving the three dead on the spot.
