JCD man killed in Bagerhat road crash

BAGERHAT: An activist of Chhatra Dal was killed as a pick-up van ran over his motorbike on Bagerhat-Khulna highway in Khajura area in the district on Friday evening.

The deceased was identified as Ashish Debnath, 22, an activist of district JCD and son of Subhash Debnath.

Bagerhat highway police said a pick-up van ran over Ashish’s motorbike at about 6pm while he was going to Khulna, leaving him critically injured.

Later, he succumbed to his injuries at Khulna Medical College Hospital.
