3-day Thai fair kicks off

DHAKA: A three-day ‘Destination Thailand Fair-2012’ kicked off at the Thai embassy premises here Thursday.

Food and disaster minister Dr Abdur Razzak inaugurated the fair as the chief guest.

The fair will continue till Saturday night.

The fair is being jointly organized by the Thai embassy, Thai Airways International, Bangkok Airways, the Thai Tourism Authority and others.

Some 54 stalls have been set up in the fair which divided into six special categories as shopping, healthcare, travel, higher education, food and recreation.

Addressing the function, the minister said, “Thailand is the tested friend of Bangladesh from 1972. Cultural communications has strengthened between two nations during the period.”

Thai Ambassador HE MS Madurapochana said the fair has been organized to introduce Thai products and services among Bangladeshi friends.
