Eat Healthy while travelling by flights

Food served on aircrafts are made to tantalize your taste buds and please you. They also aim to make you comfortable so that you end up having nice long naps. Hence traveling by flight can make you gain weight.

Airline food is generally prepacked food. These are meals that generally warmed up and served. Hence the down side of prepacked food are excess of salt and oil to preserve. Its better to opt for vegetarian meals- little more healthier and lesser processed that non-vegetarian food. If you do get low fat meals opt for them.

You are over conscious and do not want to compromise with your eating patterns at all, you can carry a sandwich or any other snack from home and they can also help if there are any flight delays.

If beverages are served, ask for either artificial sweetener or sachets from which you can add lesser sugar rather than premixed beverages. Opt for sugar less juices and low fat milk for coffee or tea.

Avoid alcohol while flying. They add on unnecessary calories and can dehydrate you.

Sweets can be replaced either with a fruit bowl or yogurt or just skip them. If you do crave for the sweet served, take a bite or a spoon and ask them to clear your tray immediately.

Drink plenty of mineral water every hour as the humidity is low and the air recirculates inside too causing dryness.
