Muhith visits Sylhet Wednesday

SYLHET: Finance minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith is expected to arrive here on Wednesday noon on a two-day official visit.

Finance ministry source said the minister is scheduled to inaugurate the SND-2 transmission of Sylhet Power Development Board and ACB sub-station at about 3pm.

Meanwhile, he will attend an iftar mahfil hosted by deputy commissioner and Sylhet Chambers of Commerce Industries.

Besides, he is likely to distribute scholarship among 200 students, address a discussion meeting marking the "Janmastomi celebrations" and visit the central jail.

Muhith is expected to return Dhaka on Thursday night.
