DHAKA: Foreign Ministry Tuesday withdrew Bangladeshi Ambassador to the Philippines Majeda Rafiqun Nesa for her alleged involvement in corruption and irregularities.
Besides, the ministry also asked her to return to the country within July 15.
A source from the ministry disclosed the matter to banglanews Tuesday.
According to the allegation, she sold an old flag-car for Tk 600,000 without forming any committee or tender and even emblazed Tk 500,000 through a fake bill.
Besides, claiming the car is old she bought a new one for herself with the government’s money and gave the old car to her family members for using.
Later, she sold the car when foreign ministry sent her a letter asking her to explain why she repaired it with the cost of Tk 500,000 after purchasing a new one.
On the other hand, she also emblazed a huge amount of money showing fake bills for her son’s education.
