7 robbers, 2 cocktail bomb makers held in city

DHAKA: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel in separate drives held seven robbers and two cocktail bomb makers from city’s Mirpur and Darussalam areas on Friday night.

RAB personnel in a drive held seven inter-district robbers with locally made arms while they were preparing for loot in Paribagh area in Kallanpur around 10:30pm.

They are Mansur, 24, Yusuf, 21, Mamun, 19, Jahangir, 19, Bappi, 21, Razu, 19, and Amzad, 25.

Meanwhile, RAB in another drive at Deshari Paribahan held two cocktail bomb makers with five cocktail bombs.

The detainees are Mirza Hassan Khaled, 26, and Kabir Hossain, 34.

Later, RAB-4 Commander and Squadron Leader Miran Hossain disclosed the information in a press briefing around 11pm.
