RAB conducts drive at ATN Bangla

DHAKA: A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) conducted a drive at ATN Bangla office in the city’s Karwran Bazar area on Thursday noon.

A competent source confirmed the matter to banglanews but the number of RAB personnel in the team could not be known.

According to the source, the team entered the office and then devided into two groups. One group talked to ATN Bangla Chairman Dr Mahfuzur Rahman and the other one took position in the newsroom.

Besides, they also collected video footage for the second time to investigate into the matter.

Later, RAB Legal and Media Wing Director Commander M Sohail could not be reached when tried to contact with him over phone.

On May 30, Mahfuzur Rahman made “derogatory” remarks on slain journalist couple Sagar-Runi.

Later, journalists demanded to quiz Mahfuzur Rahman over the matter.
