No highway dilapidated, claims Obaidul

DHAKA: Communications and Railway Minister Obaidul Quader said the condition of the highway of the country is not as bad as the media are publishing reports.

The communications minister came up with the statement in a press briefing at Rail Bhaban in the city on Wednesday noon.

The ruling Awami League lawmaker also said, “Right now, all highways and roads of the country are fit for vehicular movement.”

“I always appreciate constructive media criticism but not the culture of propaganda,” he said.

He also said, “My ministries have earned the people’s trust with little disappointment.”

Rail Secretary Mahabubur Rahman and Rail Director General Engineer Abu Taher were also present at the press meet.
