5 held with 12 lifted CNG in city

DHAKA: Detective Branch (DB) of police in a special drive arrested five persons with lifted 12 CNG auto-rickshaws on early Tuesday, says a DMP press release.

The arrestees were identified as Harun Miah, 35, Sekandar, 29, Makbul Hossain, 25, Shipon, 30, and Nur Amin, 19.

A DB team led by assistant police commissioner (north) Montasir Rahman conducted a raid at Rayerbagh Medical Stand under city`s Kadamtali police station and arrested five persons who were involved with the gang of CNG auto-rickshaw lifters.

A case was filed with Kadamtali Thana in this regard against the five arrestees, police said.
