DHAKA: A Dhaka court placed detained six men of banned Islamist outfit Hizb ut-Tahrir on three day remand Saturday for police interrogation in two different cases.
Metropolitan Judge Farhana Ferdous and Harun-Or-Rashid granted the remand after hearing on these cases as the police pleaded for 10-day remand.
The convicts are Dr Monirul Haq, Shahrij Kabir, Adnan Ahmed, Tarek Aziz, Riaz Ahmed and Shahriar Rahman.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) held them raiding in different areas of the city on Thursday and Friday nights.
Two cases were filed with New Market and Pallabi Thana against them.
