Stocks witness minor fall

DHAKA: Investors witnessed minor fall in the benchmark indices of country’s bourses on Tuesday.

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) general index shed only 0.12 point to stand at 4092 after the day trading.

Trade deals stood at 79,789 with transaction at Tk 2,598 million. Of the issues traded, 135 advanced, 106 declined and 29 remained unchanged.

BSCCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 222 million having changed hands during the time.

The other turnover leaders were, RNSPIN, JAMUNAOIL, KEYACOSMET, MPETROLEUM, SAIHAMCOT, TITASGAS, GP, UNIQUEHRL and MICEMENT.
        
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 7879 by dropping over 11 points.

Out of the issues traded, 74 gained, 98 declined and 18 remained unchanged.

On Monday, the benchmark indices of DSE and CSE rose 52 and 105 points respectively.
