Clash injures 8 in city

DHAKA: At least eight people were injured in a clash between businessmen and hawkers in city’s Bangabandhu Avenue area on Friday afternoon.

Witness said that the hawkers and businessmen locked into the clash when businessmen tried to evict the hawkers from in front of their market.

The hawkers alleged that the businessmen looted their goods worth of Tk 10 lakh.

ASI Moynal also injured during the clash and he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

Additional law enforcers were deployed in the area to avert further clash.
