DHAKA: Islami Oikya Jote Chairman Mufti Fazlul Huq Amini forewarned that each path to be chosen by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to assume power will be difficult for her.
He also made comment that the dream of Awami League to assume in power will never come true despite canceling caretaker government system.
He came up with the warning in a meeting with leaders of his party’s student wing at his office at city’s Lalbag Friday.
Amini said, “Awami League and democracy can not go together and autocratic reign has been prevailing in the country in the name of democracy from three years.”
AL should take lesson from the past if it wants to assume power, he added.
He also said that no autocrat could stay for long time and it will be same for Awami League.
Amongst others, the meeting was attended by convener Abdul Aziz, member secretary Ansarul Haq Imran, Rahamat Ullah, Tamim Raihan.
