DHAKA: Bangladesh’s only multiplex cinema hall, Star Cineplex, will arrange a film week screening the movies by late Humayun Ahmed at Basundhara Shopping Mall on Panthapath.
The event named after country’s one of the popular litterateurs Humayun Ahmed will begin on July 27.
Four films will be screened at the ‘Humayun Ahmed Film Week’ at the halls of the Cineplex.
The litterateur who also directed films died at Bellevue Hospital in New York City in the United States on 19 July 2012 after a nine-month struggle against colorectal cancer.
The organisers will screen ‘Srabon Megher Din’, ‘Shemol Chaya’, ‘Amar Achey Jol’ and ‘9 No Bipod Shongket’ as a tribute to Ahmed.
According to the organisers, ‘Srabon Megher Din’ will be screened at 11:20am and 2:15pm while ‘Amar Achey Jol’ will be screened at 7:35pm on July 27.
The film ‘9 No Bipod Shongket’ will be screened at 1:45:00pm and 7:30pm while ‘Shemol Chaya’ to be screened at 11:15am and 4:00pm on the day.
