Banks open Saturday

DHAKA: Bangladesh Bank (BB) allows all scheduled banks of the country to keep their all branches open on August 18 under their own management.

A press release in this regard was issued by the central bank recently.

The news release said the banks can keep their all branches or any certain branch open in terms of favoring clients before Eid under secured transactions.

The bank authorities also can keep open the foreign exchange branches in weekends, the release added.

Earlier on Thursday, the banks also provided services for three hours despite government holiday on the occasion of Shab-e-Qadr.
