BSF kills BD farmer in C’Nawabganj

DHAKA: A Bangladeshi farmer was killed on Shibganj frontier of the district when Indian Border Security Force (BSF) troops opened fire on Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Sanaul Islam, 22, son of Abdur Rashid of Chandpur village of the upazila.

Locals said that BSF shot Sanaul when he was working in his land, leaving him dead on the spot.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, commander of Shingnagar camp Subedar Rashed said, “Sending a strong protest letter in this regard, we asked BSF to sit in a flag meeting.”
