5.5 earthquake jolts country

DHAKA : An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale has jolted some parts of the country including the capital around 10:13am on Sunday, the US Geological Survey reports.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage so far.

The epicentre of the quake was at the India-Myanmar border region, 302-km from the Dhaka Seismic Observatory Centre.
