DHAKA: Bangladesh Tuesday suffered the consecutive second defeat by 39 runs in the second match of the Twenty20 tri-series against South Africa at Harare Sports Club.
Tigers lost eight wickets to score 170 in the stipulated over in response to 210-run target set by South Africa.
Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah and Mohammad Ashraful scored 50, 34 and 33 runs respectively while RJ Peterson and M de Lange South Africa bagged two wickets each.
Earlier wining toss, South Africa chose to bat and set Bangladesh a target of 210 runs to win the second match of the tri-series.
South Africa scored 209 for three in the stipulated over and RE Levi, HM Amla and CA Ingram scored 37, 88 and 29 runs respectively.
Mashrafe Mortaza and Ziaur Rahman of Bangladesh bagged one wicket each.
Bangladesh made one change to the side that lost to Zimbabwe on Sunday in the series opener.
Tamim Iqbal was ruled out with a quadricep tear and has been replaced by 19-year Anamul Haque.
The Tigers failed to chase down 155 against Zimbabwe on a slow pitch at Harare Sports Club in the first match of the series.
