RHD engineer suspended

DHAKA: The Ministry Communications has suspended its Road Network Improvement and Maintenance Project-1 (RNIMP-1) director and additional chief engineer of Roads and Highway Department M Mahbubul Alam temporarily from service over negligence in his duty.

The ministry has issued a notice in this regard on Thursday.

The ministry has taken the action against the high official under the section of 11/1 of government employee rules-1985’ as he failed to disburse Tk 2.31 crore compensations by June 30 in 2011 to the affected people of land acquisition under the RNIMP-1.
